Cultivated in the hot and dry summers of the winelands at Robertson, near Cape Town, the grapes ripen easily in the helpful conditions to produce a range of white and red blends with a highly fragrant flavour. The wines are sold in bulk and bottled by other companies under their own brands.

Harvested in late March, Habata’s crimson grapes are characterised by a crisp texture and intense sweetness. The red variety consists of relatively small oval berries, which are seedless and have a sweet taste. Primarily for eating, the grapes have a good shelf life and are produced mainly for export.
